This retreat is organized by Prana Foundation, a collective dedicated to preserving traditional Earth medicines and offering them in a safe, respectful and conscious way in Europe.
Our retreats are mainly held in Portugal under the guidance of Devi Chandra Ma, a Mexican medicine woman with more than 20 years of experience working with plant medicines and multiple healing modalities.
For this special retreat in Coimbra, Devi Chandra Ma will be joined by Amina Tezcatlahuilli, a respected Mexican healer and facilitator with extensive experience guiding transformational healing work around the world.
Together, they bring a unique approach that bridges traditional plant medicine practices with modern therapeutic integration, creating a safe container for deep healing and personal transformation.

The Curanderas:

Devi Chandra Ma
Founder of Prana Foundation, Devi Chandra Ma is a Mexican medicine woman devoted to the preservation and transmission of ancestral healing traditions. With more than two decades of experience, she has guided hundreds of ceremonies and healing retreats internationally. Her work focuses on creating a sacred and compassionate space where participants can reconnect with their inner wisdom and the intelligence of plant medicines.

Amina Tezcatlahuilli
Amina is a healer and curandera from Mexico with over 20 years on the spiritual path. Her journey includes traditional plant medicine diets with Ayahuasca, Bobinsana and Noya Rao in the Amazon. Alongside this traditional training, she holds a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and is also trained as a Yoga instructor, breathwork facilitator and massage therapist. Her work integrates psychological understanding with sacred medicine practices, offering a grounded and deeply supportive healing experience.

Retreat Structure

This immersive retreat will include:
• 3 Aya ceremonies guided by our curanderas
• Integration circles after each ceremony
• Preparation practices including meditation and breathwork
• Yoga and grounding practices
• Closing ceremony with sacred cacao

Our ceremonies are supported by a trained team of facilitators who assist participants throughout the entire process.
To ensure safety, individual attention and a strong energetic container, the retreat will be limited to a small group of participants.

Aya Ceremonies:
During the ceremonies, the curanderas hold the energetic field and guide the healing process through traditional medicine songs (Icaros), prayers and instruments that support the medicine’s work.

Each ceremonial night generally includes:
Preparation – Breathwork and guided meditation to calm the mind and prepare the body.
Rapé (optional) – A sacred Amazonian snuff used for grounding and energetic cleansing.
Aya Ceremony – Held in a protected ceremonial space guided by the curanderas.
Closing and Nourishment – Herbal teas and fruits are offered once the ceremony is closed.

Integration:
Integration is an essential part of working with plant medicine.
After each ceremony we gather in sharing circles, where participants are invited to reflect on their experiences and receive guidance on how to integrate insights into daily life.
The facilitators and curanderas will support participants in grounding their experiences and transforming insights into meaningful life changes.

Closing Ceremony:
On the final day, we will gather for a Sacred Cacao Ceremony, a heart-opening ritual that supports emotional integration, gratitude and connection within the group.

This Retreat Is For:
• People seeking deep healing and personal transformation
• Those interested in working with sacred plant medicines in a safe and respectful environment
• Individuals looking to reconnect with themselves, nature and community
• Anyone ready to explore personal growth with the support of experienced facilitators

Food & Accommodation:
All meals during the retreat will be light, healthy and prepared with care, following guidelines that support the plant medicine process. Meals are primarily vegetarian, with an emphasis on natural and nourishing ingredients.
The retreat will take place in a beautiful natural setting near Coimbra, offering a peaceful environment that supports introspection, healing and connection with nature. The rooms are private.

Our Intention:
At Prana Foundation, our mission is to create safe and sacred spaces where ancestral medicines can support healing, awareness and transformation.

We believe that profound healing can happen through compassion, respect and conscious guidance.
